Professional info

I have over 18 years of experience in the rail industry. I earned my BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and attained Professional Engineer status after successfully passing the Principles and Practice Exam administered by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Land Surveyors (NCBELS).  My experience includes managing the Rolling Stock Engineering Program for North Carolina Department of Transportation - Rail Division (NCDOT). I have also managed aspects of the Mechanical Maintenance Facility where the NCDOT operation is based.   I have also participated in design and testing program for new AC traction locomotives with Downer EDi Rail - Australia, as well as working with the Maintenance Engineering team for the Pacifica National coal fleet locomotives.  My other unique experience includes management of the on-board mechanical and train operations aspects for the American Orient Express train and the inspection of railroad track in specialized railroad cars for the Federal Railroad Administration.

My extensive and diverse experience has allowed me to continuously develop and easily adapt to any challenge that comes in my direction.
