Defect Tracking
Timothy Joy joined McDowell Engineers & Associates in September of 2024, bringing a knack for mechanical engineering and a fresh perspective to the team. Originally from Massachusetts, Timothy earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Since he began working for MEA he has been reviewing forms and documents, with plans to spearhead the Continuous Improvement Program, making suggestions that will enhance day-to-day operations and preventative maintenance.
What Timothy loves most about working with MEA is the collaborative environment and, of course, the opportunity to work with trains—a nod to his childhood, where he spent countless hours building and taking things apart. This hands-on curiosity has been a constant throughout his life and career.
Timothy’s professional journey began in 2016 as a Test Engineer at US Tsubaki Automotive, where he honed his skills in the automotive lab. In 2022, he relocated to North Carolina, taking on a role as a Process Engineer at CaptiveAire before moving to JHFoster in 2023. Now, at MEA, he is eager to apply his diverse experience to everything he does.
With a genuine love for engineering, Timothy is eager to grow with MEA and contribute to innovation of Rail Equipment and we are excited to have him as a part of our team.
